Suzanne's tops from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy Friday, Quilters! Almost a year ago 2 friends worked together to make 5 quilts top for CiL, they even shipped a bolt of fabric for backing. We seem to have finished all of Suzanne's quilt tops first, so Kathy's will be upcoming. This first one is Suzanne's top quilted by Linda.

This next mosaic top was also made by Suzanne and was quilted by Doris on her long arm. Thank you to all our volunteers!!

Becky M. has recently started to help with assembling blocks into tops and she's done most of the Scrappy Mountains ...

Quilting by Doris from Kat & Cat Quilts

Hello quilters! Happy Friday.  I have two quilts this week from one of CiL's long arm quilters Doris.  This first quilts top was donated by Becky and then quilted by Doris. The second quilt is one of Doris' own that she donated to us.

How does time seem to pass so quickly? Summer is almost over and the nights are finally getting  cooler. Today is the kitty baby's estimated birthday and they are turning 7 years old. All of your quilts continue to be a blessing to families in the hospital.

I love the wavy quilting panto on ...

Bits and Bobs from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy Friday, quilters! Sorry it's been a minute. Here are some Friday Finishes to make up for it. This first one was a top made by McGill, quilted by me.

Does anyone recognize that very punchy fabric line?

Next, another top by McGill quilted by Doris on her long-arm. Same fabric line I think?

This striking red and white top was pieces by Erin and quilted by me.

I think I had some of this red fabric at one point? It looks awesome for such Simple design. The smaller stars are built out of the sashing and cornerstones.

Lastly ...

Heather's Quilts from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy Friday quilters! I hope you're all having a good week. The cold snap last week with 15 degrees overnight has been followed by lovely 80 degree afternoons here in Texas.

This week's quilts all came in from Heather a while back. This one arrived basted and partially quoted. The backing had folds in it and some stains, but I really liked the top, so I ended up picking the quilting & starting over with a new back.

This one was a top and a little bit smaller. About 50 in square. I quilted it up with a simple ...

Quilted by Doris from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy Friday, quilters! Some neat monochromatic quilts to show this week. These were all worked by Doris, who has recently started to help CiL with competing tops.

This first quilt top in the bright, punchy orange was sent in by Nina. I like how random and busy the pattern looks, but the color scheme pulls it all together.

Next up, two tops from Judy G.

Both of these have just three fabrics, yet make a very effective design.

Simpler quilt tops are some of my favorites to send out to long armers because the quilting can really shine.

Thank you ...

Jeanine's Tops from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy Friday, quilters! I have four quilts to show this week that were tops sent in by Jeanine and quilted by our stellar long-armers.  This first one with the batiks was quilted by Doris, who has sent in quilts in the past and recently volunteered to help finish some of our tops. Welcome Doris and THANK YOU!

Doris chose a pretty spiky swirl motif. I also need to call out Loretta who runs my favorite local quilt store, she donated the yardage that backed all of these tops!

This monotone blue top was also quilted by Doris with an ocean ...

Doris's Quilts from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy Friday, quilters! This week we are celebrating Doris who sent in these 8 sweet baby quilts all finished and ready to go.

These will go to the NICU at a hospital in Longview Texas. They go through a few per month and have really appreciated us supplying quilts to them.

This blue quilt had a corduroy backing that I especially liked. As you can see, Fudge was very helpful with the photo process.

Doris has also recently volunteered her long-arming services to help CiL get some of our donated tops finished. This is so incredibly helpful to me, HUGE ...
